Hello and welcome to Joey Embo's Artisan EVOO & Balsamics!
I would like to tell you a little about myself. As a child I was always intrigued by Old World Style cooking. I learned at a young age by watching my grandmother and family members cook. Learning this art came very naturally for me. In my 20's, I began my own catering business. I was still learning. I worked at a small club cooking for private events, this is where I met my wife. I eventually found a job in the Pocono's at Vinny D's. It began as a small operation and grew into a huge catering business. I was working tons of events and doing cooking segments on the local tv station. Although I loved my job, I felt the need to venture out on my own to fulfill a dream, with the support of my family, I opened my own restaurant, Fratello's, in my home town of Easton. Fratello's was a home cooked Italian restaurant filled with love, family and great company. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ivan and several other small floods forced us to close. It was a very sad day. I continued to do some catering and found a secure job cooking.
During the"COVID" pandemic, to occupy my time and with the encouragement from my children and wife, I decided to start a cooking segment on facebook called, "In the Kitchen with Joey Embo". Little did I know it would become a part of so many people's lives. On my show, I began showing how to cook some of my favorite dishes using my favorite olive oils and vinegars. I decided, why not share the oils and vinegars also. So this is the beginning of my next chapter, Joey Embo's Artisan EVOO & Balsamics business.
